In a sad turn of events, Kotaku has revealed the studio behind the planned Phantom Dust reboot, Darkside Game Studios, closed its doors this afternoon. This in response to Microsoft ending their relationship with the studio. Microsoft has confirmed that development of the game will continue, but had no additional details at this time.
