Group C

Postby Bregan123 » October 17th, 2017, 12:37 pm

-Daron Jackson- AfinShou
-Steven Lundberg- ferenczik zombi
-Matt Wilityer- The Wolf 0
-Gerald Noonan- filthy kaniggit
-Jacob Johnson- Reborn Gaignun
-Christopher Herbert- Shadowshield

Alright, as for the rules, for your actual match to be played, we'll be using the same rules as always. For those unfamiliar to them:

There are 7 total maps, each player elects to ban a map (For sake of nitpickiness, if it matters to you- the player whose LAST NAME is alphabetically first will declare which map they ban first). That leaves 5 maps remaining, you will play a best of 5 series consecutively, starting on Palace, on the remaining 5 maps. The first player to win 3 games wins the series. In the case of tie breakers, after the 5 games are over, replay starting again on Palace as needed.

Now, the new part for everyone, as I announced yesterday, these groups will play Round Robin, every player in Group A for example needs to play every other player in group A. The top 2 players in each group advances, based on total record, then H2H score, then map scores will determine who advances. For example, if Esper finishes 5-0, and Murder Mastodon 4-1, they are almost assuredly going to advance no matter what.

Each 1st place in a group will play the 2nd place of another group, drawn at random. It'll single elimination from there on.

You will have THREE WEEKS to complete your matches! You have until *November 7* to finish up. Matches not played will be judged case by case, though, for transparency's sake- the player who is proactively trying to get the match played is the one likely to advance, last time we had excellent participation, and little dispute over that, so I expect few if any problems here.

I'll be making group chats for each individual group, pay attention to them. That'll be the easiest way to get your matches played. All but 1 entrant is available here on Facebook messenger. It may be easiest to find a time to get 4-6 of you on all at once in order to play back to back, or schedule your matches individually.

I'll be in each group, and I'll be ready with the whip for people who need to schedule. Additionally, this will help because I can see when your matches are scheduled, and I'll try and attend and spectate as many as possible (though I understand those who don't want their match recorded) and record with commentary over your matches! I'll post them here afterwards for everyone to enjoy. More content grows our community, so do what you can and I'll do my best to be there for your match

After that we move into a single elimination bracket, the winner gets a 25$ Xbox Gift Card, so play your hearts out gentleman.

I don't think I've ever played Shadow but I can say those games were legit great to watch.
I was on the edge of my seat a few times. Is he an old player?

P.S. This tournament has seen a greater depth of arsenals imo than the last, very nice to see and there's a few decks that I'm going to have to recreate.

Assuming he doesn't flop and subsequently not make it out of groups, for the next round I'll try and do a little op ed on him. Might write up a bit on each player remaining.

I'm 90% certain I recognize his tag from the old days, he just wasn't ever a big spotlight player
